Cowdenbeath notched up their third straight victory thanks to Scott Linton's first goal for the club.

On 16 minutes Dean Droudge's cross from the right caused havoc and Linton arrived at the back post to head home.

Arbroath forced a number of corners but strong defensive performances from Joe Mbu and Craig Winters kept the home side at bay.

Arbroath did have the ball in the net but a foul was given against Steve Hislop on goalkeeper David Hay.
