Second Division leaders Ayr United continued their recent good run by thumping Stranraer at Somerset Park.

Bryan Prunty opened the scoring with a 24th-minute header - his 16th goal of the season. Ryan Stevenson doubled Ayr's advantage with a rasping drive.

Neil McGowan made it three with a superb header from Chris Aitken's corner and Aitken added the fourth goal from Prunty's clever cut-back.

Alex Williams completed the rout after collecting Martyn Campbell's pass.
