Stenhousemuir lost more ground in the Third Division title race with defeat at home to Berwick Rangers.
The Warriors took the lead on 28 minutes when Scott Dalziel fired in to from 12 yards.
Both sides had first-half goals disallowed for infringements, before Berwick's Stuart Callaghan equalised after 64 minutes direct from corner.
And the Wee Gers secured the points on 81 minutes when McLaren lobbed the goalkeeper from 40 yards.
