Stranraer 2-8 Stirling Albion

Stirling thrashed Second Division rivals Stranraer at Stair Park.

Chris Hamilton's opener for the visitors was cancelled out before half-time by Michael Mullen's drive.

Three Stirling goals shortly after the break began with James McKinstry's own goal before Hamilton completed a hat-trick with two further strikes.

Martin Grehan and David McKenna scored before Stephen McConalogue pulled one back for Stranraer, but John O'Neil and Grehan's second completed the rout.

Following the match, Stranraer and manager Derek Ferguson parted company with the club seven points adrift at the bottom of the table.
