Brechin stay top of the Second Division after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Queen's Park at Glebe Park.

City went ahead just before the break through midfielder Kevin Byers' thunderous 25-yard drive.

The visitors gained a deserved equaliser when substitute Ian Watt slotted the ball into the net from close range.

However, Darren Smith tapped the ball home moments later to wrap up the points for Brechin.
