Ricky Waddell's late strike gave Clyde a deserved win in an enthralling encounter away to St Johnstone.

Dave McKay strolled through the Saints defence to send a low shot past Alan Main after two minutes and Scott Gemmill headed Clyde's second.

Stuart McCaffrey bundled in a reply and, after the break, Derek Holmes headed the equaliser.

But Waddell's fine free-kick put Clyde ahead against the run of play before both sides went close late on.
