Injury-hit Dundee got off to a winning start in Division One with a comfortable victory over newly-promoted Ross County at Victoria Park.
Dundee took the lead when Mickael Antoine-Curier was taken down in the box by Andy Dowie before picking himself up to convert from the spot.
County's Adam Strachan and Steven Craig were both denied by the woodwork.
And Eric Paton headed home from an Eddie Malone cross before Dyron Daal pulled one back late on for County.
