James Bain's injury-time strike spared Second Division Airdrie's blushes and earn a Scottish Cup third-round replay against Beith.
The visitors took the lead in the 32nd minute through Brian McKeown after he collected Martin Stewart's pass.
Beith made it two when Kenneth McLean drilled home but Mark McShane was later sent off for dissent.
Paul Lovering's header reduced the deficit and Bain's rasping drive saw Airdrie equalise deep into injury-time.
