"It is important that we take confidence from this game into the Hibs game and get the consistency that will take us up the table," he said.

"We had it for a spell leading up to the Dundee United game, then lost two bad league games."

Meanwhile, Celtic manager Gordon Strachan was stunned to lose the game, saying: "I couldn't see that coming."

Hearts substitute Andrius Velicka slammed in two great strikes to cause an upset at the home of the Premier League leaders.

And Frail sees no reason why Hearts cannot claim the first silverware of the season.

"I think we can win it," he said. "I knew we could win here and that's what we did.

"Whoever we get makes for an exciting competition but you can't pick and choose.

"The three teams left would all be strong opposition. They are all doing well and it will be a tough game no matter who we get."

Strachan thought his team were in charge of the match and said afterwards: "It's just crazy that we are out.

"For 70 minutes I thought there was only going to be one winner, I thought we made enough chances and created enough opportunities, we just lacked a cutting edge.

"We didn't finish Hearts off and, unfortunatley, football comes up and bites you on the backside."
