Hearts endured the tension of extra-time to squeeze past Dunfermline on a night of drama at Tynecastle.

A first-half penalty from Christian Nade gave the SPL side a deserved lead over the Division One strugglers.

Hearts continued to dominate but former Jambo Stephen Simmons took the tie into extra-time with a late strike.

As Pars faded Christophe Berra restored Hearts lead before Calum Elliot sealed their place in the last eight of the CIS Cup with a quick-fire double.
