Inverness players were left distraught at the final whistle |
Inverness manager Charlie Christie admitted he was in shock after Celtic scored two late goals to deny his side a Scottish Cup semi-final place. "I cannot believe it," was his reaction to the 2-1 defeat. "It a real sore one to take and the players are near to tears in the dressing-room.
"They put so much into the game and deserved so much more.
"You can't legislate for one great leap, one great header and a tremendous finish by Kenny Miller to win it."
Christie thought his side were going to record their third Scottish Cup victory in a row over Celtic after Graham Bayne's early goa.
"But, give credit to Celtic, they kept probing away, but it looked like they were not going to get anything," he said.
