The New Saints beat Bangor to keep title hopes alive
The New Saints beat Bangor City 3-2 to throw the Welsh Premier League title race wide open with seven games to go.
The win saw Bangor's lead at the top of the table cut to just three points over Saints, who have a game in hand.
Bangor took an early lead at Park Hall through Chris Jones before the home side took control.
Goals from Matthew Williams, Aeron Edwards and Craig Jones set up the win before Jones hit a second for Bangor to ensure a tense finish.
Home manager Mike Davies was sent to the stands during the second half after an argument with the match officials.
But Saints held on for a crucial win in their challenge for a sixth Welsh Premier League crown.
The two sides are due to meet again in the return at Farrar Road on 30 April, the final day of the league season, in what could prove to be a title decider.
