Welsh Premier leaders Bangor City have agreed terms to sell striker Jamie Reed to Blue Square Bet Premier side York City for an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year-old has been in great form this season, scoring 17 league goals.
"The deal we have agreed with York is the best we have ever been able to negotiate for the sale of a player," Bangor chairman Dilwyn Jones said.
"We have every confidence that our manager Neville Powell will be able to find a worthy replacement for Jamie."
Reed is the third signing by York boss Gary Mills this week, following the permanent capture of defender Chris Smith and midfielder Andre Boucaud who had been on loan at Bootham Crescent.
