David Cotterill, Andy King and Ashley Williams all claimed their first international goals as Wales thrashed 10-man Luxembourg in Llanelli.
Swansea winger Cotterill broke the deadlock on 35 minutes volleying home Robert Earnshaw's cross.
Joel Kitenge levelled before the break with the help of a deflection, but Joe Ledley restored the lead from the spot.
Headers from King and Williams, and a strike from the brilliant Craig Bellamy gave Wales a first win since November.
It was a much-needed victory for Wales in their final warm-up match before opening their Euro 2012 Championships qualifying campaign in Montenegro next month.
John Toshack's side were missing 10 players, most of which withdrew in the build-up to the game.
And they found it difficult to break down Luxembourg's defence, taking until 15 minutes before the break to gain any real sight of goal.
That first chance fell captain Bellamy who raced in at the far post to meet Sam Ricketts' ball from the right, only to scuff his attempted half-volley.
Two minutes later, Celtic's Ledley launched a 25-yard shot which needed a deflection to take it away from goal and out for a corner.
But it seemed Wales had finally found their feet and took a deserved lead on 35 minutes.
Earnshaw, winning his 50th Wales cap, played provider from the left whipping in a deep ball which an unmarked Cotterill, omitted from the original squad, met at the far post to volley home.
But for all their hard work, Wales were guilty of failing to keep hold of to possession and were punished in the closing stages of the first half.
The defence were caught sleeping which allowed the lively Joel Kitenge to break free and level striking from 20 yards which took a deflection off Craig Morgan before going in off the crossbar.

But the hosts regained their lead three minutes after the restart when Bellamy won a penalty after being hacked down in the box by Daniel Da Mota Alves.
Ledley stepped up to send Jonathan Joubert the wrong way rolling his spot-kick into the bottom right-hand corner.
A third Wales goal looked likely with them looking in control after switching from 4-4-2 to a 4-5-1 formation and Morgan narrowly headed Bellamy's corner wide, before substitute King found the target on 55 minutes.
It came from another Bellamy delivery, and Leicester midfielder King headed home from six yards capitalising after Jourbert misjudged the cross.
Ledley could have added his second soon after volleying wide after good work with Manchester City striker Bellamy, while Williams saw a header go inches the wrong side of the post.
Luxembourg were reduced to 10 men on 77 minutes when Mario Mutsch picked up a second yellow card for a foul on Cotterill.
A ruthless Wales made the most of it adding a fourth almost immediately from Cotterill's short corner to Bellamy who looped the ball over to debutant Steve Morison at the far post.
The Millwall striker squared his header to Swansea defender Williams to nod home.
Bellamy deserved a goal and was rewarded eight minutes from time beating the offside trap to meet Ledley's through ball and fired across Jourbert in off the post.
