Cardiff City's first home game of the forthcoming season, against Sheffield United, has been switched to Sunday 8 August at Cardiff City Stadium.

The losing 2009-10 Championship play-off finalists were scheduled to face the Blades a day earlier.

But the match has been moved a day as a 1235 BST kick-off on the second day of the new season for live television.

Cardiff meet Welsh rivals Swansea City on Saturday, 6 November and Saturday, 5 February during the 2010-11 season.
