The Welsh Football Association has confirmed Wales A's friendly with Croatia in May will take place at Stadion Gradski Vrt in Osijek.
John Toshack's side will face Slaven Bilic's men on Sunday, 23 May, the day after the Championship play-off final.
Wales have played Croatia once before, a friendly in Varazdin in August 2002, when the game ended in a 1-1 draw, Simon Davies scoring for Wales.
A planned friendly en-route against Brittany has fallen through.
The modern Croatian team was formed in 1990, shortly before Croatia's independence from Yugoslavia, and by 1993 had earned Fifa and Uefa membership.
Their first competitive games came in their successful Uefa 1996 Euro qualifying stage.
They finished third at the 1998 World Cup with Davor uker ending the tournament as top-scorer.
England ended Croatia's unbeaten home run in 2008 and they currently lie 11th in the Fifa world rankings with Wales at 76th.
