Interview: Former Wales international John Hartson
Former Wales international John Hartson says Rob Earnshaw needs to find a club where he will play and score regularly if he is to return to the Wales fold.
Earnshaw, 27, was left out of John Toshack's squad for this week's friendlies in Iceland and Netherlands.
The striker has also been told he can leave relegated Derby after a miserable season with the Rams.
"He has to get himself at a club where he will score goals like he did at Cardiff and Norwich," said Hartson.
"If he does, I think John will then look at him and it's just one of those where he can't ignore him."
Earnshaw scored 105 league and cup goals for Cardiff in his seven years with the Welsh side and scored 27 league goals in 45 appearances for Norwich.
But he had a difficult spell at West Brom and most recently Derby, where he made just seven starts.
