Jason Koumas must now sit out Wednesday's trip to face Germany |
Wales hero Jason Koumas was furious to be banned for Wednesday's trip to Germany after being booked in the 2-2 draw with the Republic of Ireland. Koumas headed Wales ahead in Cardiff and stroked home the late penalty that earned a point, but was shown a yellow card for an alleged dive.
"I don't know why I've been booked because I was definitely caught. It was very disappointing," Koumas said.
"You are happy not to lose a game but the goals we conceded were poor."

After Koumas' opener, heading back across goal from Joe Ledley's left-wing cross, Robbie Keane levelled and Kevin Doyle put the Irish ahead.
But Wigan midfielder Koumas dispatched a late penalty for a share of the spoils after David Cotterill was brought down.
"It was tough after they scored, but credit to the young lads who've come in and did well to get a draw in the end," Koumas added.
Wales now travel to Frankfurt for their final Euro 2008 qualifiying Group D match on Wednesday.
But Wales will go without Koumas, who was carrying a booking from last March's 3-0 win over San Marino and must now sit out the next match.
