TNS have failed to win just five of their League games this season |
Total Network Solutions manager Ken McKenna said his players had raised the bar even higher this season as they regained their Welsh Premier crown. TNS have dropped just 11 points in 31 games and clinched the title with three games to spare by beating Caernarfon.
Said McKenna: "We have dominated from start to finish. It's been a long and hard season but we've got our rewards.
"Llanelli have been on a fantastic run, but they are nowhere near us. The lads have done it in style this season."
Needing just a draw to win their second Welsh Premier title, TNS suffered an early scare when Lee Jones put Caernarfon ahead with a penalty after Mike Jackson's handball.
But TNS were level on 25 minutes when John Toner scored following fine work on the left by Chris King.
A John Rowley own goal and a Nicky Ward header within a minute of each other 15 minutes from time sealed the victory.
In the other Good Friday fixtures, Aberystwyth beat Cwmbran 3-1 thanks to goals from Glyndwr Hughes, Nick Evans and Huw Jones.
Strugglers Newi Cefn Druids and Connah's Quay Nomads shared the points in a 2-2 draw.
Darren Williams scored the equaliser for the Druids after the visitors had taken a 2-1 lead through Chris Williams and Phil Molyneux.
