FAW PREMIER CUP FINAL Curtis ambivalent at Vetch exit Report: Swansea 2-1 Wrexham

Swansea manager Kenny Jackett was pleased to end the Vetch's 93-year history on a high after his side's 2-1 FAW Premier Cup final win over Wrexham.

"It was a terrific final, a great atmosphere with chances on both sides," Jackett told BBC Sport Wales.

"It could have gone either way, but perhaps this was meant to be in our last game at the Vetch.

"There are going to be some very big celebrations - and they will be very well deserved by the players."

The game was Swansea's first Premier Cup triumph having previously lost in two finals, and added to their celebrations at winning promotion to League One this season.

"This was a real bonus for us," said Jackett, whose team received a �100,000 boost for their success in the competition.

"We've taken the trophy seriously and have done better than in previous seasons."

The club will move to a new, purpose-built ground in Morfa next season, which they will share with the Neath-Swansea Ospreys rugby side.
