Carmarthen Town beat holders Rhyl in extra-time to win the Loosemores of Cardiff Challenge Cup on Monday. The turning point came four minutes from normal time when Rhyl's top scorer Lee Hunt was sent off after receiving his second yellow card.
Richard Kennedy's superb 20-yard curler put Carmarthen ahead 10 minutes into extra-time.
And substitute Omar Abdillahi made the game safe when he tapped in at the far post a few minutes later.
After winning the league and three cups last season, Rhyl's defeat at Newtown's Latham Park ground leaves them trophyless this term while Carmarthen can celebrate their first Welsh Premier League Cup success.
