WELSH CUP ROUND TWO
Goytre United produced the shock of the second round when they came away from Bridge Meadow with a 2-1 win, dumping Haverfordwest out of the Welsh Cup.
Despite taking an early lead through Tim Hicks, the Welsh Premier side let Goytre back into the game as first Ryan Perry and then Richard Ryan's penalty gave the visitors a fine win.
The other Welsh Premier scalp to be taken was Connah's Quay , after Cymru Alliance high-flyers Lex XI fought back to win 4-2 in extra time.
Richie McNeil twice equalised for Lex to force the game beyond 90 minutes, who made light of being a man down following Darren Huggett 's sending off to win.
NEWI Cefn Druids were also taken to extra time at Wrexham League side Summerhill Brymbo , but survived to win 3-2, Paul Mazzarella grabbing the winner.
Highest score of the day went to Carmarthen Town, who put 11 past Cardiff Corinthians - Mattie Davies and Gary Lloyd both helping themselves to hat-tricks.
There were also hat-tricks for Rudy Torres and Nick Harrhy as Llanelli thumped visiting Risca United 8-2.
