Hogan Ephraim and Wayne Routledge got the goals to ease the pressure on QPR boss Jim Magilton as brave Accrington bowed out of the Carling Cup.
Magilton is already under pressure after failing to win a league game this season, but Ephraim's control and finish calmed the nerves on 68 minutes.
Routledge then drove in a late second, with Adel Taarabt also impressing.
However, there was still time for Michael Symes, a handful all night, to fire in a deserved Stanley consolation.
