Wayne Routledge scored a hat-trick as QPR reached the second round of the Carling Cup by thrashing Exeter, who also had Scott Golbourne sent off.
It took Routledge thirteen second-half minutes to grab the first hat-trick of his career and assure victory for QPR.
His third came from the penalty spot - after Goulbourne had been sent off for a deliberate handball.
With Exeter down to 10 men, Alessandro Pellicori made it 4-0 and the scoring was wrapped up by Hogan Ephraim.
