Macclesfield dumped Blackpool out of the Carling Cup after the Seasiders missed a succession of chances.

Ben Burgess had a goal disallowed for offside and Ian Evatt hit the crossbar before Shaun Brisley shot through the legs of Blackpool keeper Matt Gilks.

Blackpool's Gary Taylor-Fletcher then headed over from four yards before captains Terry Dunfield and Keith Southern were dismissed for fighting.

Martin Gritton headed home from Jamie Tulley's free-kick for Town's second.
