Adam Virgo scored two goals as Brighton comfortably defeated Barnet in the Carling Cup.

Virgo struck after 90 seconds, profiting on some slack defending to head home a Kevin McLeod corner.

Nicky Forster headed against the bar before Joe Tabiri missed for the Bees from inside the six-yard box.

Forster scored with a fierce strike, Virgo struck again with a powerful far-post header and Matt Richards smashed home a free-kick from 20 yards.
