A first-half hat-trick from teenager Lionel Ainsworth helped secure victory for Hereford against Yeovil in the first round of the Carling Cup. Ainsworth opened the scoring with a 25-yard drive and then doubled the lead from a Clint Easton cross.
Easton added a third in the 35th minute before Ainsworth weaved his way past three defenders and lashed home to complete his hat-trick.
Lloyd Owusu's headed goal soon after the break gave Yeovil some consolation.
