Doncaster cruised into the second round of the Carling Cup after an easy win. Rovers took the lead in the 23rd minute when James Hayter fired home from close range, with Martin Woods hitting the crossbar soon afterwards.
Richard Wellens made it 2-0 after a neat move with James Coppinger in the 56th minute and Paul Heffernan added the third when Alan Marriott fumbled.
Substitute Mark McCammon hit a classy fourth goal, before Jamie Forrester scored for Lincoln with a neat finish.
