Ben Burgess climbed off the bench to strike the winner as Championship side Blackpool edged through in the Carling Cup at the expense of Huddersfield. It was the hosts that had the better chances throughout, but League One outfit Huddersfield proved persistent.
Danny Schofield had the visitors' best chance when his shot flew wide, while Gary Taylor-Fletcher saw a fine chance for Blackpool brilliantly blocked.
But Burgess made the breakthrough with a neat finish from Andy Morrell's pass.
