Carling extends League Cup deal | | The Football League has agreed a three-year sponsorship extension with Carling for the League Cup. The new agreement takes the competition's sponsorship to 2009 and will extend the League's partnership with Coors Brewers to 11 years. Football League Chairman Lord Mawhinney said: "This new agreement provides a further boost to a competition that is already in very good health." The Carling Cup final will be played at the new Wembley Stadium from 2007.
