Kane has played for the Republic and Northern Ireland at Under-21 level

Cliftonville have signed former Blackburn Rovers player Tony Kane.

The 23-year-old has represented both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland at U21 level and was most recently contracted to Carlisle United.

Kane joined Blackburn as a 17-year-old and progressed to the reserve set-up at Ewood Park.

The versatile defender has enjoyed loan spells at Stockport County and Cercle Brugge and made 15 appearances for Carlisle.
