Goals from Mark McAllister and Peter Thompson give champions Linfield a 2-0 win at Coleraine
The champions eased to victory against an injury-hit Coleraine side in Saturday's Carling Premiership clash.
Blues keeper Alan Blayney kept out an early Darren Boyce shot in what was a rare Bannsiders opening.
Mark McAllister put Linfield ahead on 29 minutes with a backpost header after keeper Lawrence McCormick hesitated.
Peter Thompson pounced to make it 2-0 in the 59th minute after McCormick spilled a Robert Garrett free-kick while McAllister hit the woodwork.
Linfield remain second in the table and two points behind Glentoran but they have a game in hand on their Big Two rivals.
