Coleraine's David Scullion took advantage of poor Ballymena defending to score the winner and provide Coleraine with their third Premiership win in a row

David Scullion took advantage of poor Ballymena defending to score the winner with a backpost header in the 70th minute of the derby game at Coleraine.

Gareth Harkin and Stephen Lowry had chances for the home side in a poor first half, and Scullion hit the post.

Davy O'Hare saved from Nathan Hanley and Aaron Stewart hit the underside of his own bar early in the second half.

Paul Brown failed to get on the end of a cross, O'Hare saved from Michael Smith and Richard Gibson went close.

Former Coleraine forward Gibson saw his shot blocked by Kyle McVey.

Dwayne Nelson saved from Harkin early on but neither side could break the deadlock in a dreary first period.

Stewart almost found his own net after the break when he headed against the woodwork after Nelson failed to punch away a cross.

Brown just failed to meet an Aaron Canning cross and Gibson had a chance.

Scullion nodded the ball home after Nelson and Denver Gage failed to deal with a long ball and Brown provided the assist.
