Premiership strugglers Coleraine could be without defender David Ogilby for six weeks following surgery on a broken and dislocated finger.
Despite the injury, Ogilby scored two goals on Saturday as Coleraine got their first points of the Premiership season by beating Donegal Celtic 4-0.
The former Institute man was injured earlier in the season and had to miss two Premiership fixtures.
He had an operation on Monday and faces several weeks on the sidelines.
Ogilby would have missed Saturday's Co-operative Insurance second round game against Glebe Rangers anyway because he is cup-tied.
"It is a blow, but we have players capable of coming in to do a job," said assistant manager Aidy McLaughlin.
"David is a great lad and I know after he got injured on his debut he was absolutely devastated he could not play in the next two games."
