Gary McCutcheon's previous clubs include Clydebank and Stranraer
Portadown forward Gary McCutcheon is on his way out of Shamrock Park after being released by the club.
The 31-year-old Scotsman, who joined the Ports from Larne in 2006, has been released by manager Ronnie McFall as a cost-cutting measure.
Club captain John Convery, Owen Morrison and Ryan McCluskey are also being released by the Ports because of the current economic climate.
McFall said that his hand had "been forced" by the economic downturn.
McCutcheon first played for Portadown in the 2001/2 season during a loan spell from Kilmarnock.
A hamstring injury kept McCutcheon out of the JJB Sports Irish Cup final defeat by Linfield earlier this month.
Convery has been a Ports stalwart for several years but was affected by injury last season.
Former Dungannon Swifts player McCluskey has struggled to hold down a first-team place in recent months while Morrison only joined by the Ports from Sligo Rovers in January.
