Chris Morrow's last minute winner extended Crusaders' lead at the top of the Carling Premiership table.

Morrow had put the visitors ahead after five minutes, pouncing on David Rainey's rebounded shot to fire in.

Cliftonville thought they had earned a point through Chris Scannell's second half strike in the 67th minute.

But with the last kick of the game, Morrow volleyed inside the area and left John Connolly rooted in the Cliftonville goal.

Crusaders should have extended their lead in the first half with the influential Morrow at the heart of their attacking possession.

Morrow's first goal was followed by fluid and energetic link-up play with Stephen McBride and Jordan Owens failing to test Connolly with tame efforts.

The home side struggled with the sharp, direct style of passing employed by Stephen Baxter's side and their best chance of scoring in the first half came through Francis Murphy.

Ronan Scannell found Murphy unmarked in the area but he could only direct his header into the fans behind Chris Keenan's goal.

Reds keeper Connolly was lucky to stay on the pitch after he was adjudged to have handled outside the area but referee Davy Malcolm punished him with only a yellow card.

Cliftonville's second half performance was a vast improvement and deservedly equalised just after the hour when Chris Scannell's 20-yard strike crept into the bottom right hand corner of the visitors' goal.

Substitute Liam Boyce had the chance to snatch all three points on 82 minutes when he turned inside David Magowan but was denied by the feet of Keenan in the Crusaders goal.

But it was Crusaders who stole all three points with the final kick of the game and go four points clear at the top of the Carling Premiership.
