David Rainey's two second-half goals help Crusaders beat Portadown 3-1 in the Carling Premiership clash at Seaview

Two second-half goals from David Rainey ensured Crusaders took maximum points in an entertaining game at Seaview.

Martin Donnelly's 21st-minute penalty found the bottom corner after Rainey had been fouled by Keith O'Hara.

Tim Mouncey made it 1-1 when he headed in from close range after a Wesley Boyle cross in the 42nd minute.

Rainey drilled a powerful shot past David Miskelly to complete a fine move on 51 minutes and then scored on 55 after Mark Dickson's shot was blocked.

Mouncey had the first chance of the game when his free-kick flew over the bar, then Colin Coates flashed a header wide and Dickson saw his shot blocked by Darren Kelly.

Donnelly coolly converted his spot-kick after Davy Malcolm pointed to the spot but midfielder Mouncey equalised.

Rainey put Stephen Baxter's side in front and then followed up to score after Dickson was initially denied.
