Linfield are strong odds-on favourites to regain the Carling Premiership crown despite losing last season's title race to Glentoran.

The Glens pipped the Blues by a point to end Linfield's run of three successive championships last May.

But David Jeffrey's men are quoted at 8/13 with William Hill to regain the Gibson Cup while Glentoran are 2/1.

Irish Cup winners Crusaders are 8/1 and newly-promoted Portadown are fourth in the betting at 14/1.
