Newry City's home game against Cliftonville in early September is set to become the second Irish Premiership fixture to be played on a Sunday.
The clubs have agreed to move the Carling Premiership game from Saturday 5 September to Sunday 6 September, with a 1400 BST kick-off at the Showgrounds.
The first Irish League game to be played on a Sunday was exactly a year earlier when Glentoran beat Bangor 1-0.
