Glenn Ferguson has made more than 500 appearances for Linfield

Linfield striker Glenn Ferguson says he wants to continue to play for the Windsor Park club for another season.

The 39-year-old told the BBC that he "absolutely" wanted to extend his playing career and help the Blues regain the league title next term.

"It is a decision for David Jeffrey and the Management Committee but I hope to be back playing again next season and hopefully they will agree with me."

The veteran forward scored 24 goals this season, 14 of them in the league.
