Linfield's veteran striker Glenn Ferguson says he is worried his glittering Irish League career could be ended by a knee injury.
The 39-year-old striker was carried off during the 3-0 win Boxing day over Glentoran in which he scored twice.
The former Northern Ireland star is to have a scan on the knee on Monday.
Ferguson told Sunday Life: "I am worried because I would not want my career to end like this. It is hard not to think the worst."
The striker said he had been told it was not a medial ligament problem.
But he added: "It could be a host of other things - I just dread it being a cruciate."
