Roy Walker's Ballymena claimed a vital win over his old club

Ballymena United made it back-to-back victories in the JJB Sports Irish Premiership as they claimed a vital win over Crusaders at the Showgrounds.

Stuart King struck the all-important goal on 34 minutes with a right-foot shot from 22 yards which took a slight deflection off David Magowan.

Crusaders' Jamie Marks was sent off a minute from time after a professional foul on Gavin Melaugh.

From the resultant free kick, Gary Haveron hit the Crues woodwork.

Ballymena remain bottom of the table despite the win but they are now only two points behind Dungannon Swifts.
