Curtis Allen scored a crucial equaliser from a direct free-kick for Lisburn Distillery in the first leg of their Co-Operative Cup quarter-final.
Allen had been fouled by Glenavon defender Hugh Dickson and got up to curl the set-piece around the wall and past keeper Tuda Murphy on 64 minutes.
Adrian Harper had given Glenavon the lead just before half-time.
Ryan Harpur fired the ball into the danger area and Harper, lying on the ground, deflected it into the net.
The second leg is scheduled to be played on Tuesday, 16 December at New Grosvenor.
