Second-placed Crusaders picked themselves up after Wednesday's defeat at Newry to beat Institute with David Rainey heading the only goal.

Rainey pounced in the 26th minute after Martin Donnelly's cross had been nodded on by Alain Emerson.

It was Rainey's 11th goal of the season and he could have had a 12th but blasted wide early in the second half.

Earlier Aaron Black of Crusaders saw a header hit both posts just before the end of the first half.
