Walker's side have only two points in the JJB Sports Premiership
Ballymena United manager Roy Walker described his side's defending as being "worse than a pub team" after Tuesday's 4-1 hammering by Glentoran at the Oval.
"Someone said that our defending was like what you see from a pub team," said the Ballymena boss.
"That's being disrespectful to a pub team. I don't think it was that good. That's how it has been all season."
The defeat leaves Ballymena rooted to the bottom of the JJB Sport Premiership with only two points from eight games.
Walker lamented his team's concession of more "silly goals".
"Elliott Morris set up two of their goals and he's a goalkeeper.
"It was one kick. That is suicidal. Every mistake we make is being punished with a goal and that has been the story of our season - individual errors."
Walker did have a gripe about Glentoran's penalty for the fourth goal on 43 minutes, awarded after Gary Haveron had been adjudged to have handled in the area.
"We felt and the Glentoran players felt that the penalty was harsh. The ball did hit Gary Haveron on the hand but his hands were by his side and the ball was going away from the goals.
"But having said that, my main complaints are against my defence although I know that the defenders don't deliberately go out to play bad and have a howler.
"You look at Glentoran's defending. They just play their foot through the ball and there was no culture about it.
"If the ball gets anywhere near the area, it's just whoof and that's where some of their goals came from.
"We need to learn a lesson out of that and realise that the first principle is to clear your lines."
