Rory Hamill was on loan from Glentoran at Donegal Celtic
Cliftonville have swooped to sign former Glentoran and Donegal Celtic forward Rory Hamill, according to the club's official website.
The website has reported that the 32-year-old has signed a two-year deal with the Solitude outfit.
"I'm very pleased to welcome Rory to the club," said Gerard Lawlor, Director of Team Affairs at Cliftonville.
"He has been a long-term target of ours and will bring great experience and no little quality to the team," he added.
Hamill said: "I'm delighted to have joined Cliftonville.
"They are a club who have made wonderful progress over the last number of years, Eddie Patterson wants to ensure that trend continues and I'm really looking forward to being a part of it."
As well as the Glens and DC, Hamill has also played for Southampton, Fulham, Coleraine, Ballymena United and Dungannon Swifts.
Cliftonville held talks with the player after he became a free agent at the end of the season.
Manager Eddie Patterson declared an interest in the former Northern Ireland international last January but Glentoran manager Alan McDonald refused to allow him to join the Reds while they remained in contention for the league title at the same time as his club.
