Derry City will be aiming for maximum points as they try to keep the pressure on top two St Pat's and Bohemians.
Last weekend the Candystripes ended a run of five league games without a win by beating Cobh Ramblers 1-0.
City boss Stephen Kenny is awaiting injury updates on Sammy Morrow (knee), Sean Hargan (ankle), Paddy McCourt (back) and Darren Quigley (wrist).
"UCD have had scoreless draws recently against Bohs and Pats, so they defend well," said Kenny.
"They work hard and will be difficult to break down."
