David Patton snatched a late winner for Coleraine in the replay
Coleraine boss Marty Quinn admitted he was selecting players for a semi-final shoot-out when Davy Patton scored their late winner against Donegal Celtic.
Patton scored in the one added minute at the end of extra-time to send the Bannsiders through to the final of the JJB Sports Irish Cup on 3 May.
"I already had three names written down but thankfully it did not go to penalties," said Quinn.
"I am delighted because this club has been through the mill in recent years."
Coleraine now face the daunting task of playing Linfield in the final at Windsor Park with the Belfast Blues going for a third successive double.
But Quinn said his players would not be going into the showpiece match worrying about the quality of the opposition.
"I have told the younger players about how memorable an occasion the cup final is in your football career," said the Coleraine manager.
"I can remember playing for Cliftonville in 1979 and being a winner.
"There is still the fond memory of that day and that is what I want my players to be sampling."
