Former Southampton goalkeeper Alan Blayney has agreed a one-and-a-half year contract with Ballymena United. The 26-year-old, who has one full Northern Ireland international cap, will not play for United until next season, but may join Tobermore on loan.
Blayney has endured a spell in the wilderness following his release by Doncaster Rovers and brief spells at Oldham Athletic and Bohemians.
Paul Murphy and Sean O'Neill are also on the books at the Showgrounds.
Blayney made his international debut against Romania at the Giants Stadium in New York and also won four Under-21 international caps.
Meanwhile defender Dean Pooley has been released by United by mutual consent, after making only two appearances.
