Glentoran's Gary Hamilton shields the ball from Bobby Ryan in Dublin |
St Pat's scored two late goals to deny Glentoran victory in the Setanta Cup Group Two game at Richmond Park. Michael Halliday pounced on a defensive mistake to give the Glens a fifth minute lead but Gary O'Neill levelled from close range on 22 minutes.
Colin Nixon converted a 73rd minute penalty before Daryl Fordyce fired the visitors into a 3-1 lead on 84 minutes.
O'Neill pulled one back with an 88th minute header and Keith Fahey struck the equaliser deep into injury time.
The Glens protested after the first St Pat's goal, claiming keeper Elliot Morris had both hands on the ball when O'Neill bundled it into the net.
Glens striker Gary Hamilton wasted a good first-half chance when he shot straight at keeper Barry Ryan.
The penalty was awarded after Hamilton was fouled by Jamie Harris.
